The complete 6.5x45mm cartridge, as rendered in AutoCAD Inventor 2010. It's three separate parts: primer, case and bullet. It wasn't hard, but I wanted to do it to get my bearings in Inventor. It was a fun, short project.

Cartridge Specs:
.264" Caliber
45.2mm Case Length
11.3mm Case Head (same as 7.62x39mm and the PPC cartridges)
107-grain LS at 2900 fps, 123-grain LS at 2700 fps, 144-grain LS at 2550 fps.

So how does the program actually work? Is it easy to turn a vector drawing into a 3d model?

It's AutoCAD. You go in and create a line drawing, then extrude it or revolve it, and it creates a 3D model. You can then set the material, and assemble parts.

Nice round very accurate work. Also a interesting intermediate caliber.

It's just MS Paint, so don't kill me, but I'm just too stupid for any better program^^
